Membership
Clarence Coast Dragon Boat Club are extremely keen to build our membership and we welcome anyone over the age of 12 who would like to come to a training session to join in as we paddle on the beautiful waters of Yamba Bay on the Clarence River.
Paddling times: We commence paddling at 7.00 am on Saturdays , Mondays and Wednesdays . These are on-the-water times so it is best to arrive half an hour before these times to complete paperwork and talk to our coach who will guide you through the paddling technique and answer any queries you might have.
Location: We launch at the boat ramp next to Moby Dick Motel on Yamba Rd, Yamba.
Equipment: We can provide you with a paddle. If you cannot swim 50 metres you are required to wear a life jacket which we can also provide. Wear clothing that you don't mind getting wet as you may get splashed. We suggest that you wear shorts or 3/4 length stretch pants, t-shirt, light jumper or thermal top in cold weather, and rubber sandals or beach/reef shoes - these will get wet. Bring a water bottle and be sun smart (sun hat, block out, sunglasses).
