On Saturday morning 8th September, we hit the water, members showing their support for Liptember! One of the best things about lipstick is something we never think about and that’s the psychological benefit. Persons who wear lipstick usually feel more confident and powerful and in fact, are usually perceived by others as being more confident and in control. Wearing lipstick can also lift our spirits, especially in difficult times. It seems like wearing lipstick is a no-brainer. So it is no surprise that Liptember’s priority is to improve the health of all Australian women who take on a myriad of responsibilities as mothers, grandmothers, sisters, daughters, wives and partners. Our members purchased a Liptember lipstick from participating retailers Chemist Warehouse in Grafton. Funds raised during the month of September donated to the Centre of Womens Mental Health, Lifeline, Batyr, RUOK?, The Jean Hailes Foundation and The Pretty Foundation. We encouraged everyone to purchase a Liptember lipstick from any Chemist Warehouse, My Chemist or My Beauty Spot store. With Spring in the air, which naturally takes us outside and gets us motivated to work out, we welcome new paddlers to come and try dragon boating and get fit while you sit!!!! The club meets at the Yamba Boat Ramp on Wednesday 2.30pm and Saturday 7.30am for an hour of paddling. So all ladies and gents, join in the fun and COME and TRY. AND remember rock your lippy throughout September!
