Congratulations to the newly elected Board of Directors:-  Cheryl Coleman, Graham Dunford, Ree Dunn, Lynda Leslie (treasurer), Gail Scobie, Lesley Sutton (secretary), Wayne Sutton.

Also at the AGM were our Major Award presentations.
Congratulations to Judi Greig who was awarded Life Member. Judi has been a member of CCDBC for ten years. She is often the first person at paddling with the green box opened and paperwork ready to go for both old and new paddlers. Judi is our window to the community as the first-person new paddlers often communicate with.  She is part of the leadership team, is highly respected and any comments she makes are thoughtful and considered, always willing to help with any task if required. With all social events organised she has committed to any theme and always been involved. Without a doubt, at any Regattas attended, Judi performs to the best of her ability and is gracious in defeat.  Judi is an excellent role model and ambassador for the sport of dragon boating. She is a deserving recipient of this prestigious award.

Club Person of the Year was presented to Ree Dunn and Rhonda Winters.
Ree, our club President, through her solid direction, has kept our little club afloat. Two years ago, she took on the role of President. She is also a Level 3 sweep, a coach and one of a very small group who tow the boat. She quietly gets in there and helps out and that embodies our club ethos – inclusive and supportive.

Rhonda has worked tirelessly throughout the season searching the Yamba surrounds for discarded bottles and cans to boost the club social fund. Each month, despite a fall in our revenue from club fees and fundraising due to COVID restrictions the social account continued to climb. As a senior coach, she has supervised Steve and Ree to attain their coaches’ certificate. The time, effort and expertise she puts into this role is appreciated and valued.

With three recently joined members and a further six paddlers enjoying five free sessions, we are now looking forward to our 2020/2021 season.
