Gail has been away tripping around Europe over the last month so we can expect to hear some great tales at the next coffee session. Best wishes go to Chris Evans as she leaves us to go work in Katherine NT for a while. You will be missed Chris, but I am sure news and photos will filter back to us. Rainbow region regatta weekend was fun, and I think we have learnt several things about team work, and focusing in the boat from the moment we load until we are back on shore. Congratulations to Ree for steering us so straight and efficiently and passing another 2 races towards gaining your sweep’s level 3 accreditation. Strength and timing will be the drills concentrated on until Jacca regatta in October. School sessions on Thursdays continue, we have had 4 up til now and the development of individuals and the crew as a whole is great to witness. Thanks to members who have been giving up their time on Thursday to assist with students or be “bag lady”. Chris Moran does a fantastic job and without his assistance we could not run these sessions. Maclean High School students are again keen to participate at Grafton regatta so we will be looking for helpers when it is closer to time. Keep 16th December evening free for our Xmas party. More info will be sent out soon via email from our Social organisers. Dot
